These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PureDecode app and website ("PureDecode", "we", "our"). By using PureDecode, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
PureDecode reads printed food-ingredient labels and provides informational guidance — allergens, halal and vegan indicators, an additive safety grade, blood-sugar (GI) risk, and "may contain" warnings. It is an informational tool only.
Important. PureDecode is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or religious advice. It reads what is printed on a label using AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. It cannot detect ingredients that are not printed on the label (for example, an undeclared-ingredient recall or a labelling error), and halal/vegan indicators are best-effort estimates, not certifications.
If you have a food allergy, intolerance, medical condition (such as diabetes), or religious dietary requirement, always read the original label yourself, confirm with the manufacturer, and consult a qualified professional. Never rely on PureDecode alone to decide whether a food is safe for you. You use PureDecode at your own risk.
Core scanning is free within monthly limits. Optional subscriptions and top-ups are billed by the platform — the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Paddle (web). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings (or your Paddle receipt on the web). Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.
PureDecode, its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights; you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app.
PureDecode is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, or up to date.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PureDecode and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any personal injury, allergic reaction, health effect, or loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law rules. [Update this to your country/jurisdiction if different.]
